Rialto students take on ‘Fuel for Success 500’ science car competition
1 min readStudents from Rialto schools and Colton-Joint Unified School District were focused on one thing, blowing away the competition at the annual Fuel for Success 500 air-powered model car competition.
The event held at Jehue Middle School, was a combined effort of the Rialto Police Department, Colton Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation and Rialto and Colton school districts.
The Fuel for Success program is a partnership between Shell Oil and eight law enforcement agencies–including Colton and Rialto police departments–aimed at exposing youth to various careers within the racing industries and promoting new avenues to build successful futures for youth.
Students from both Colton-Joint and Rialto unified school districts who participated in the Fuel for Success program earned a trip to the speedway in Fontana.
