1 min read

rrpoke2Pokémon will take over the Rialto Branch Library.

The library will host all things Pokémon Saturday as it wraps up the San Bernardino County Library’s ‘Read to Catch ‘em All’ program, an initiative to encourage reading at all ages.

Pokémon partakings in Rialto will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free activities including Pokémon face painting, a Pokémon selfie wall, Pokémon obstacle course and scavenger hunt. Crafts include Pokémon bookmark making, Pokémon origami, assembling Pokéballs and plenty more.

In addition to the festivities, an opportunity drawing for a chance to win a 90-day subscription to ‘Crunchyroll’ will also be available, said Connie Bottini, a library assistant at the Rialto branch.

Read to Catch ‘em All continues through the end of the month at all of the county’s 32 library branches. As part of the program, readers are rewarded with a Pokéball containing a mystery Pokémon for every 30 items checked out, according to the county library.

In addition to the Pokéball, readers also receive an opportunity drawing ticket for a chance to take home a jumbo plush Pikachu.
