Meet Caden: Kid reporter to debut new column

1 min read

courtesy photo Welcome Caden Henderson, 12, to IECN! Caden brings seven years of interviewing and reporting skills to the paper and will be featured weekly in Caden’s Corner.

What were you doing at 12 years old?

As far as Caden Henderson is concerned — a little of everything.

The Redlands super kid has an extensive resume: Host of his own YouTube channel, Caden Center, interviewing athletes and celebrities, as well as hosting the “This Week In Sports” segment; guest broadcaster and play-by-play announcer for local sports teams like the Inland Empire 66ers minor league baseball club; guest announcer for Ontario Fury Soccer; co-host at local charity events and has even made appearances on Fox Sports West, Nickelodeon and the LA Rams website, but most importantly, full-time student at Cope Middle School.

And now, Caden will be adding one more notch to his career belt as a contributing writer for Inland Empire Community Newspapers, specifically with the Inland Empire Weekly.

Caden will bring his seven-years of experience (yes, that’s right, seven, he started “Caden Center” at the age of 5) to the paper starting with next week’s edition featuring his weekly column, Caden’s Corner.

He’ll be discussing everything from trending topics to community news, along with taking his own photos at events. So, if you see the wonderkid at some local happenings with a microphone, pen and notebook in hand, say “Hey!”

Welcome aboard, Caden!
