Boys & Girls Club of Redlands offers summer camps for kids

1 min read

Young scientists can get their hands on creative learning over the next few weeks as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside hosts summer camps through August.

Going on now through Aug. 3, children ages 5 to 14 can participate in the Club’s Summer Day Camp at the Hansberger Clubhouse in Redlands from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Day campers can go on field trips and participate in special activities on site.

Cost is $100 per week, per child. Early-bird discounts are available.

For youngsters ages 7 to 14 looking to tap into their inner mad scientist, the Club is also hosting its annual Camp Einstein.

The overnight camp on the grounds of the Burrage Mansion in Redlands is offered in two sessions — a girls camp and a boys camp — and is a STEM-focused learning experience. At both camps children get sleep in teepees and participate in several projects and activities. In the past, children have launched rockets, created robots, raced wind-powered vehicles and held campfires.

Camp Einstein girls’ camp is July 13-16 and boys’ camp is July 27-30.

Cost is $150 per child.

Registration is required for all camps along with a $25 annual club membership fee.

Scholarships are available for the camps.

Registration forms can be found at www.BeGreatIE.org and are available at the Hansberger Clubhouse, 1251 Clay St., Redlands. To learn more call the clubhouse at 888-822-6535.
