Walking with the Council begins in April

1 min read

Mayor Paul Foster and Mayor Pro Tem Paul Barich will kick off the inaugural Walking with the Council, an expansion of the popular Coffee with the Council meetings, this Saturday, April 8, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. beginning at the entrance to the Orange Blossom Trail on Grove Street, between Citrus Avenue and Colton Ave.

Walking with the Council was added this year in an effort to promote the City’s trails and healthy habits. The meetings are intended to provide opportunity for residents to ask questions or share concerns outside the formal setting of a City Council meeting.

Four Walking with the Council meetings will be held along several of the City’s walking trails:

April 8 – Orange Blossom Trail, beginning at the trail and Grove Street

May 13 – Orange Blossom Trail, beginning at the trail and Redlands Boulevard, near California Street. Parking is available in the Walmart/Food for Less parking lot on the north side of Redlands Boulevard

July 8 – Orange Blossom Trail, beginning at the railroad trestle on the Orange Blossom Trail near Center/Texas Street and Redlands Boulevard

Oct. 14 – Santa Ana River Trail (future alignment), starting at Cave Street and Riverview Drive
